Essentially I found out at an early age that I have no real, discernible talent except story-telling. Somehow I turned that into a 40 year career on television. Amazing what they pay people to do, right? From Northern Ontario to Canada's largest city, I have been a reporter, anchor, producer and creator. In 2006 I suffered what I would later find out was my first panic attack while on air. I would eventually be diagnosed with severe Depressive Disorder and general Anxiety Disorder. Since that time I have learned I am very much not alone with depression. I realized that I had a platform and gift for gab. Using both I now advocate for others who sometimes lose hope or have a hard time finding it.
I am 56 years old, separated and live in Toronto with my son who is somehow becoming more popular than me with the audience on my Facebook Live show. I live by the words of The Desiderata.
Please remember, I'm just a guy who wants to make a difference in this world. I'm not a doctor or therapist. I will give the best advice I can, however, if your mood is controlling you than the other way around, please reach out for professional help.
My sign-off is always this...
"Take care of yourself and take care of each other."
